spackle! 2002-10-08 @ 11:49 a.m.

fall break has been exciting laziness and bumming around. kelli, brian, jennifer, becki, andrew, and i went to steak and shake on saturday after work. it was crazy humour and random comments. although service sucked (as usual) it was still a good time. sunday after work we went to denny's where ordering the peacan pie is a bad idea. crankiness resulted in going to the super wal-mart. there is a correct procedure to grocery shopping. i walk up and down each aisle, regardless of whether i need anything from it. then, i backtrack and walk the outside aisle. it takes a long time, but it works, and i enjoy myself. i have groceries, which means there is food in the fridge for the first time since moving in three months ago. the cheesecake is very good.

today we are spackling and painting the courtesy desk. i am a geek, so i am very excited about this. spackling is hours of fun. we are also going to "sweet home alabama." andrea and i are attending ladies mass tonight. after each ladies mass there is a guest speaker or a special project. this month we are painting tiles and plates with holiday scenes. i shall paint a turkey. with pink and purple feathers.

number one on the list of scary words/phrases: i love you. hearing "i love you" was not scary, though. it was comforting, happiness, and home. i did not plan on it, and i was utterly surprised, but i am so completely in love. which is a good thing.
